All questions
Are PDUs really included in every course?
Yes. As a PMI Global Registered Education Provider, Looking Glass Development awards Professional Development Units for every completed course — 7 PDUs for a one-day class up to 28 PDUs for the four-day Project Management & Systems Architecture course. If you are a PMP, these credits are a crucial component of maintaining your certification.
How does the 100% guarantee work?
Every course is unconditionally guaranteed. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your Looking Glass Development training experience, simply notify us and receive a full refund or credit towards another course. The PMP Exam Preparation course goes further: follow our method, fail the exam, and we refund 100% of your tuition — other firms' guarantees merely let you retake the course.
Can you train our whole team at our office?
Yes — on-site delivery is our specialty. The per-student rate is the same as our public courses with a minimum charge of 10 students, and we include up to four hours of tailoring to your specific needs at no additional charge (more time available at $150 per hour).
What are the per-student course prices?
Standard rates per student: $350 for a half day, $430 for one day, $590 for two days, $760 for three days and $920 for four days. The three-day PMP Exam Preparation course is $1,295. Full details for every course are in the catalog.
Who actually teaches the courses?
Only internal staff — we do not subcontract. Every instructor holds a PMP certification, is certified in a wide range of technologies (Java, XML, .NET, ColdFusion, Oracle, SQL Server, IIS, SAS, SPSS, networking and more), has at least ten years of IT industry experience and several years of experience as an educator.
Can you build a course around our internal methodology?
Yes. With custom training we design workshops, courses or series around your proprietary methodology, policies and tools — often for less than other firms charge for standard courses — and PDUs can be awarded for custom courses too.
Is online delivery available?
Yes. Most catalog courses can be delivered live online by the same PMP-certified instructors, with the same hands-on exercises, materials and PDUs — at the same per-student rate and with no travel costs. See online training.
Do participants receive books and materials?
Yes. Beyond the course presentation, each participant receives copies of the latest published works on the course topic — Microsoft Press courseware (book and CD) in the MS Project series, and Alistair Cockburn's Writing Effective Use Cases in the requirements courses.
How do I register or check the schedule?
Check the public schedule first — if nothing is listed, contact us at (303) 663-5402 or email information@lookingglassdev.com with the course ID. Any catalog course can also be scheduled on demand at your site or online.
