About Looking Glass Development

Founded in 1999, Looking Glass Development is a small Colorado company with a simple philosophy: project management for IT professionals should be taught — and practiced — by people who have actually done the work.

Our story & our motto

Looking Glass Development was founded in 1999 in Littleton, Colorado, focusing on “Project Management for IT Professionals by IT Professionals”™ — installation, consulting and training support for firms wishing to use Microsoft Project and Project Server, plus a complete curriculum of project management courses tailored to the IT industry.

We deliberately stayed small. Low overhead keeps our prices around half of what larger training firms charge, and lets us treat every engagement personally — including up to four hours of free course tailoring on every on-site delivery. What we never compromised on is staff: every consultant and instructor is an internal employee, holds a current PMP certification, and has at least ten years of experience in the IT industry.

Our standards earned us recognition as a PMI Global Registered Education Provider — announced in 2001 — and we are certified by the National Association of Communication Systems Engineers (NACSE) to provide project management training. As an Authorized Microsoft Partner we support every client and enterprise edition of the Microsoft Project family.

How we work

Internal staff only

We do not subcontract training or consulting to strangers. The person you talk to on the phone is the person who teaches or consults on your project.

Real-world first

Our instructors spent years as developers, IT project managers and line managers before they ever taught a class — the curriculum reflects what actually works on IT projects.

Guaranteed results

Every engagement is backed by our 100% unconditional guarantee — if you are not satisfied, we refund your tuition or credit it towards another course.
